Welcome to Emmaus Campus Ministry!
It’s a new beginning: with a new schedule, new classes, new ideas and often, new commitments. It’s always exciting to think about the ways we might learn and grow and what we might experience in the semester to come! As you settle into this semester, we hope you make Emmaus Campus Ministry part of your routine. We have a great semester planned with a great group of people involved and we are excited to invite more people to join us!
Maybe it’s our Sunday night dinners and discussions – this is the heart of our community building and deeper conversations about life and faith. Do you like to talk about God, life, relationships, heartbreaks, your sense of purpose in the world, and a whole lot more? If so – please join us on Sunday nights! Anyone, regardless of where you are on your faith journey is welcome.
Or, maybe it’s our Wednesday night worship. This is an opportunity to slow down, listen, pray, sing and for a few minutes – be still. This is the heart of grounding and centering which sets the tone and feeds us for the rest of the week.
Maybe it’s our service projects or retreats. These are a lot of fun and powerful in so many ways.
You can also come by the Ark or Emmaus House. At Emmaus House you can always stop by for talking, eating, coffee, napping, free wireless internet or just hanging out. Hours are Monday – Friday, 9 – 4.
My office is in the Ark and I am always available to talk, grab a coffee or for pastoral care. Just give me a call or stop by Monday – Friday, 9 am -3 pm.
We are a Christian student group that runs a bit to the left of other campus groups at the University of Montana. We don’t have a lot of answers to the hard questions but we love to ask them. We also don’t have a lot of rules to live by, but we talk about what’s important in life and what it means to be a follower of Jesus. We are a community of faith that supports each other, grows together in our spiritual life, forms great friendships, has a lot of fun and enjoys eating good food! All are welcome-no matter what. Maybe you don’t trust organized religion or consider yourself spiritual, but not religious. Perhaps you are gay, lesbian or transgendered. Whatever you are or believe you’ll fit right in.
Peace,
Pastor John |
