Join us for a home-cooked meal, time to build friendships and community, and open and honest conversations about the harder questions of life, faith, justice, relationships, doubts, and everything else.


Emmaus House, 532 University.


Students join with people of all ages in this community, a place where all belong, reclaiming Jesus’ story as a narrative of liberation and justice for all people and the earth, connecting with neighbors and building collective power.

University Congregational Church, 405 University. Dinner provided.

We host regular social events, service projects, and social justice actions.

Events include:

o   Movie nights

o   Advocacy trips to the capitol 

o   Volunteering at nursing homes, the Poverello, Habitat for Humanity, and Family Promise

o   Leading worship at partner churches

o   Panel discussion and special events speakers

o   MLK day

o   Interfaith support and get-togethers​

We take low-cost group trips every quarter to lots of cool places! Join us for rafting in the summer, skiing or snowshoeing in the winter, and sailing in the summer. We will head to San Francisco this spring break, all students and young adults are welcome to join us for a week of service, justice, diversity, and exploration in the Bay Area!

Living in Emmaus

Interested in living in Emmaus? We have leases available for the school year and summer and would love to have you join our community! Our residents help out around the house, participate in weekly gatherings and social events, and help to make Emmaus the welcoming, hospitable place it is.
